11th FIDSSA Congress

On behalf of the FIDSSA Council and the Local Organising Committee, it is our great pleasure to extend an invitation to participate in the 11th FIDSSA Congress, taking place from 18 to 20 June 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre—Africa’s premier convention destination, set in the heart of the vibrant Mother City.

FIDSSA represents a dynamic collaboration of Southern African societies focused on adult and paediatric infectious diseases, infection prevention and control, clinical microbiology, and virology. Our broader community includes Young FIDSSA and SAASP, and we are pleased to welcome our colleagues from SASTM as part of an exciting new collaboration.

FIDSSA Congresses have consistently provided an ideal platform for clinicians, researchers, scientists, policymakers, and industry leaders to converge and share knowledge. For the 2026 Congress, we are curating a worldclass programme that will feature cutting-edge research, emerging trends in regional disease patterns, and forward-thinking strategies to address the evolving challenges of infectious diseases in Southern Africa.

Delegates can look forward to a rich scientific agenda, including insightful keynote lectures, interactive panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and engaging abstract and poster presentations.
